Torrance Police Foundation

Founded in 2016, the Torrance Police Foundation is a nonprofit organization governed by a volunteer board of civic and business leaders and dedicated to supporting public safety in Torrance. Operating independently of city government, the Foundation relies entirely on private donations and does not receive public funds or tax revenue. TPF provides grant funding to the Torrance Police Department for needs not covered, or not covered in a timely manner, by the city budget. Its priority areas include advanced equipment and technology, training and education, youth programs, community relations and outreach, and crime prevention initiatives, with an emphasis on transparency and alignment with departmental priorities.
