Roadium Open Air Market

The Roadium Open Air Market & Drive-In is a 15-acre outdoor marketplace in Torrance, operating nearly year-round with hundreds of vendors selling new and used goods, antiques, produce, and food. Originally built in 1950 as a drive-in theater by Pioneer Theatres, Inc., the site evolved into a major regional swap meet serving shoppers and entrepreneurs from across the South Bay and neighboring communities. Beyond its commercial role, the Roadium is culturally significant as an informal community hub and is widely noted for its role in the early connections that helped launch N.W.A. and West Coast hip-hop. Today, it remains one of the most heavily trafficked open-air markets in Southern California.
