Californians for Population Stabilization

Originally the California chapter of Zero Population Growth (ZPG, now called Population Balance), it became its own organization in 1979. CAPS has been designated by the Southern Poverty Law Center as an anti-immigrant hate group in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. The SPLC considers CAPS to be part of the "Tanton Network" of organizations.
