The facility is a joint venture between Australian-owned Aspen Medical and Curtain Bros Papua New Guinea Limited and is located at the Sir Hubert Murray Stadium complex in Konedobu. The clinic will provide a range of healthcare services including primary healthcare, 24/7 emergency healthcare (including house calls and road ambulance), a low dependency ward, medical imaging, pathology and pre-employment medicals. According to Glenn Keys AO, Executive Chiarman of Aspen Medical, “We are very excited to be back in PNG once again. Previously we had been here to assist in managing the Cholera outbreak in 2010 but it is nice to be back for a long haul. We have been working for many years in the Solomon Islands supporting our clients there with a fully-equipped mobile hospital and our Aspen Medical Harbour City clinic will ensure that PNG benefits from that world-class capability. It has been a pleasure to work with our partners at Curtain Bros Papua New Guinea Limited to bring this clinic to the Sir Hubert Murray Stadium complex. Their 40-plus years in PNG and reputation for quality and sound financial management made it a perfect fit for us in bringing the clinic to Port Moresby.” Justin McGann, General Manager of Curtain Bros Papua New Guinea Limited, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Aspen Medical on this project. They are a company with unparalleled experience in providing healthcare to Resources companies or on behalf of state and national Governments. Industry and the public is set to benefit from their arrival in PNG. ” The clinic is non-exclusive and offers competitive pricing with differing access levels for corporate clients and individuals supported by medical insurance policies. Services are also being extended to the general public where financial fee-for-service criteria have been met at the time of presentation.
