The Academic Center for Social Businesses and Impact Investing The Academic Center for Social Businesses and Impact Investing was established to create an academic and experiential infrastructure for managing and initializing the industry of Social Businesses and Impact Investing in Israel. The Center, funded in partnership with the Rothschild Foundation, was initiated by Dualis together with COMAS, the Israel College of Management Academic Studies and its Graduate School of Business Administration in Rishon Lezion. What is a Social Business? A social business is a business that aspires to realize social aims while gaining profit. It is a business model, established not on a purely business basis, but which includes as an essential component, a social mission. Our experience shows that a social business earns twofold: both financial gain and social profit. Launching a social business? Entrepreneurs who have active social businesses or who wish to establish a social business in the field of training and employment of disadvantaged populations are invited to submit requests for investment and partnership of the initiative.
