About Us Our History Malawi Institute of Management (MIM) was established by Malawi Government through the Act of Parliament (April, 1989) to provide Management Training, Consultancy and Research services. Since, its establishment, it has carried out a number of training programs to public, private and non-governmental organisations both locally and internationally. The Institute started with short term training on its product portfolio at the time of its establishment and today, it has expanded the product portfolio to include Masters Degree and Doctoral Programs through collaboration with Universities in United Kingdom. MIM is well located with its campus in Kanengo, Lilongwe along the M1 Road, about fifteen kilometres from City Centre and ten kilometres from the Airport. In Blantyre, MIM is situated in Malawi College of Distance Learning Campus in Ginnery Corner near Road Traffic and Safety Services. The magnificent infrastructure is conducive for learning and also relaxing during recess periods. This infrastructure includes training rooms, syndicate rooms, computer laboratory, library, hostels, lounges, bar, audio-visual centre and sports facilities.
