Deans For Impact

We bring together leaders in educator preparation who want to ensure their programs are consistently preparing effective beginning teachers. We provide leadership training and foster supportive, evidence-informed communities in order to improve student learning. Impact Academy We offer a year-long fellowship for leaders of educator-preparation programs. The fellowship combines intensive in-person learning experiences with ongoing coaching and mentorship from veteran members of Deans for Impact, and creates a supportive network of fellows focused on improving how their programs prepare future teachers. LEARN MORE Inquiry Institute Once a year, we convene teams from educator-preparation programs to explore shared indicators of teacher-candidate readiness and in doing so build an evidence base about what works in teacher preparation. LEARN MORE Member Deans Motivated and engaged leaders who have been through Impact Academy — and many who have sent teams to Inquiry Institute — are invited to join the membership of Deans for Impact. Our members work to transform their own educator-preparation programs while also working collectively to advance the mission of Deans for Impact. Membership in Deans for Impact is by invitation and limited to roughly two dozen leaders at any given time. LEARN MORE
