EJF Philanthropies

EJF Philanthropies and the foundations under its umbrella have provided thousands of separate grants to nonprofit organizations working to solve important challenges. We have supported in work in many sectors: health, education, food systems, Jewish life, animal welfare, economic development, the environment, human services, the media, the arts, fighting the wildlife trade, and protecting biodiversity. We proactively create and fund initiatives that are of priority to us. We prefer to address underlying systemic causes of problems and allocate our resources so that they will have a multiplier effect. For example, we fund convenings to foster network-building and collaboration, communication impact campaigns to change behavior, and capacity-building to help nonprofit groups raise additional money.
