This includes through offering "assessments, training, crisis management, protective services, and support services. Triple Canopy was founded in Chicago in 2003 Our Story U.S. Army Special Forces veterans. It moved its main office to Herndon, Virginia in 2005 and has also opened offices in Abu Dhabi and Nigeria. In June 2007 it acquired Clayton Consultants, Inc., a crisis management security consultancy specializing in the prevention and resolution of kidnap for ransoms, extortions, product contamination and client risk. It has been Reporting from April 2009, indicates that according to Federal records, beginning on May 7 2009 Triple Canopy will officially take over Xe (formerly Blackwater, Inc.) 's contract with the U.S. State Department for guarding occupation officials in Iraq.
