"Buffy" Minkin has been named president of the Joseph and Harvey Meyerhoff Family Charitable Funds, one of Baltimore's leading philanthropic organizations. Minkin, a fourth generation member of the Meyerhoff family, has worked at the funds from 2011 as vice president of Baltimore and domestic initiatives. She also was the funds special projects director from 2003 to 2008. "She understands the vision that was established by her great-grandparents and grandparents and has been successful in merging that vision with the needs of the community here in Baltimore." As president, she will oversee the funds day-to-day operations as well as oversee all domestic Jewish initiatives. The Meyerhoff Funds was established in 1952 by Joseph and Rebecca Meyerhoff and their son and daughter-in-law, Bud and Lyn Meyerhoff, to improve the quality of life in Baltimore and in Jewish communities worldwide.
