Binswanger is headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is coordinated through 29 regional offices in the United States, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Netherlands, Peru, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Thailand, United Kingdom, and Venezuela. The company provides worldwide exposure through these regional headquarters, as well as through our additional offices and people worldwide in North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Frank G. Binswanger, Sr. founded the company in 1931, in the midst of the Great Depression. His vision and energy have characterized the company throughout its history. By anticipating trends and seizing opportunities, Binswanger has grown from one office in Philadelphia into an international leader in the real estate industry. Binswanger’s first major expansion occurred in the Southeast. Foreseeing the movement to the Sunbelt, we established our Southern Division, with headquarters in Charlotte, in the 1950’s. This division played a major role in relocating American businesses to the South, and remains our largest branch operation. During the Sixties and Seventies, Binswanger expanded to the Midwest and Western United States. We now operate 32 offices in the United States. During the 1990’s, Binswanger embarked on a major international expansion program, forming strategic alliances with premier real estate organizations throughout the world. Through these resources, Binswanger provides a single source of cross-border real estate services, combining knowledge of local markets with sophisticated international real estate expertise and the latest technology. These alliances also give our corporate and institutional clients access to complete property services in all key international markets. Our strong presence in the Asia Pacific and Latin American regions enables us to offer these comprehensive services throughout these vital regions. Today’s changing business environment has created a movement among major corporations toward the outsourcing of real estate functions, and the formation of strategic alliances between corporations and service providers. Binswanger has been a leader in the strategic alliance movement, and currently serves such alliance partners as Wal-Mart, Coca-Cola, ExxonMobil, Amgen, Kohler, Bombardier, and Comcast, just to name a few. We have provided real estate services for most of the top Fortune 500 companies, including such firms as 3M, Motorola, General Motors, General Electric, BASF, Valeo, Sony, and many others. In its third generation, Binswanger continues to be family-owned and managed. Frank G. Binswanger, Jr. and John K. Binswanger are the Chairmen of Binswanger and David R. Binswanger serves as President and Chief Executive Officer. Binswanger International Ltd. is headed by Frank G. Binswanger, III.
