Dr. Kay was the UN Chief Weapons Inspector in Iraq between 1991 and 1992. He also served in Iraq again with the Iraq Survey Group between 2003 and 2004 cataloging what efforts that Iraq had actually been making in regards to WMDs. He also has done significant work with the powerful defense contractor SAIC and was a Corporate Senior Vice President at SAIC for several years After he was replaced as the "Special Advisor for Strategy regarding Iraqi Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Programs." In 2004 he "returned to the private sector," Currently he works as a Senior Fellow at the Potomac Institute. In 2010 he published an article on Iran's Nuclear program on the conservative news site, National Interest .
