Lee Allan Smith is Chairman of Oklahoma Events, LLC, a full service event production firm. He also served as Vice Chairman of Ackerman McQueen and as President of Oklahoma Centennial Sports, Inc., which was the local organizing committee for U.S. Olympic Festival –’89 in Oklahoma. In 2012, he was enlisted to complete the once-stalled American Indian Cultural Center and Museum, which is now slated to open in 2017. An Oklahoma City native and University of Oklahoma graduate, Mr. Smith served three years as Chairman of the Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce and on several Boards of Directors including Allied Arts of Oklahoma, the Oklahoma Zoological Society, Inc., Boy Scouts of America and State Fair of Oklahoma among numerous others. He also organized the Civic Center Music Hall Grand Re-opening and was instrumental in planning for the State of Oklahoma’s Centennial Celebration. He has accrued many honors and awards for his local work and philanthropy and was inducted into the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame and the Oklahoma Hall of Fame and also received an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters Degree from the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Smith resides in Oklahoma and continues a strong friendship with Ackerman McQueen.
