Robert Vairo

Bob Vairo, age 88, passed away peacefully on December 1st, 2018. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on September 27th, 1930 to Antoinetta and John Vairo. He spent his childhood in Brooklyn and was married to Carol in 1951. He served in the Marine Corps in Korea during that conflict. He moved to New Jersey in 1964 and was divorced in 1978. Bob and Inge were married in 1979 and last lived in Bernardsville, New Jersey before moving to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1994 where they built a home in the Desert Highlands Golf Club. He retired in 1992 as the chairman and CEO of Crum & Forster, a national insurance company owned by Xerox at that time. Bob is survived by his wife Inge; two sons, Robert and Greg; and sister Marie.
