Pamela Zilly has extensive experience in providing financial advice to for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. She has assisted organizations in developing and implementing strategic and financial plans, monitoring financial performance, managing investments and raising capital. She has also advised companies on mergers and acquisitions, and financial restructurings, both in and outside of bankruptcy. Ms. Zilly was most recently a Senior Managing Director at The Blackstone Group from which she retired in 2009. Prior to joining Blackstone in 1991, Zilly worked at Chemical Bank in the Investment Banking Division. Ms. Zilly began her investment banking career at EF Hutton and Company Inc. in 1977. She graduated from Connecticut College, Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude and received a Master of Science degree in industrial administration from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University in 1977. She is a resident of New York and Martha’s Vineyard. Ms. Zilly is the newly elected Chair of the Board of Trustees of Connecticut College and served as chair of their finance committee. She is married to John Schaefer, a retired Morgan Stanley executive. Ms. Zilly and her husband reside in New York City, where they enjoy and are active supporters of the performing arts. She is also a trustee of the Martha’s Vineyard Preservation Trust.
