Alan Larson, an economist, former diplomat and non-lawyer, provides clients with strategic advice, counseling and representation at the intersection of international business and public policy. His practice encompasses international investment and acquisitions, centering on the U.S. Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS); sanctions and trade compliance; international energy transactions and international trade. Mr. Larson is a member of the Board of Counselors of McLarty Associates, a strategic partner of C&B. He is Chairman of Transparency International/USA and a Board Member of Bread for the World. He previously served as Under Secretary of State for Economics and Ambassador to OECD. He is a Career Ambassador, the State Department’s highest honor.
