Mr. Gupta has been Senior Partner Emeritus of McKinsey & Company since 2003. He previously served as McKinsey & Company's Worldwide Managing Director from 1994 until 2003. Prior to that, Mr. Gupta held a variety of positions at McKinsey & Company since 1973. Mr. Gupta is on the boards of the following public companies in addition to Goldman Sachs: AMR Corporation, Genpact LTD and Procter & Gamble. He is also an independent director of Qatar Financial Authority. He is affiliated with certain non-profit organizations, including as Chairman of the Board of The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, Chairman of the Board of the Indian School of Business and the Associates of the Harvard Business School, a member of the Advisory Board of the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, the Dean's Advisory Board at Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management and the Dean's Council of the Harvard School of Public Health and Co-Chair of the American India Foundation. Mr. Gupta also served as the United Nations Secretary-General's Special Advisor on UN management reform.
