LittleSis: Karl L Peterson

Karl Peterson is a Managing Partner and head of Europe at TPG. Since rejoining TPG in 2004, Karl has led TPG’s investment activities in areas including travel and leisure, media and entertainment, and financial services. Previously, Karl was President and CEO of Hotwire, which he led from inception through its sale to IAC/InterActiveCorp, where he served in the same role for one year after the sale. Before his work at Hotwire, Karl was a principal at TPG in San Francisco. Prior to joining TPG in 1995, Karl was an investment banker in the Mergers & Acquisitions Department and the Leveraged Buyout Group of Goldman, Sachs & Co. He graduated with High Honors from the University of Notre Dame, where he earned a BBA in finance and business administration and was elected Beta Gamma Sigma. Karl currently or has recently served on the Boards of Pace Holdings, Caesars Acquisition Company, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Sabre Corporation, Saxo Bank, and TES Global. He is CEO of PACE Holdings (NASDAQ: PACE) and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.
