Mark who joined the Board of Kord in January 2020, is an accomplished senior executive leader, with a highly successful track record commanding large and diverse teams both in Australia and overseas with a focus on national and international security issues. He has over 35 years’ service in the Australian Army, 27 of which were as a Senior Special Forces Officer. His experience has been gained and matured in high level command, leadership, operations, training and resolving specialised complex strategic challenges. He resigned from the Australian Army in early 2017 and was appointed the State Emergency Service (SES) Commissioner for the state of New South Wales, restructuring and transforming it into an efficient and responsive emergency service. In March 2019 he established his own consultancy business to assist organisations with development and networking of capabilities, through the provision of advice on leadership development and change management through boards and senior leadership mentorship. He is a member of the Global SOF Foundation, Chair of the Commando Welfare Trust, and an advisor to the Board of KLAS Telecom. |
