The Wallenberg Foundations is the collective name for the public and private foundations formed by the Wallenberg family or established in memory of family members
The Foundations grant funding to excellent researchers and research projects beneficial to Sweden, and have since 1917 granted more than 35 billion Swedish kronor, of which almost eleven billion the past five years

The Wallenberg Foundations will grant an extension of the allocation period for grants granted that may be delayed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. This is applied for in a special order and will be assessed individually for each grant.

A 20 year journey with the Human Protein Atlas
The Human Protein Atlas is a Swedish-based program initiated in 2003 with the aim to map all the human proteins in cells, tissues and organs using an integration of various omics technologies, including antibody-based imaging, mass spectrometry-based proteomics, transcriptomics and systems biology. All the data in the knowledge resource is open access to allow scientists both in academia and industry to freely access the data for exploration of the human proteome. The work is funded by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation.
