On 30 and 31 October 2018, the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN) is hosting the GIIN Investor Forum 2018 in Paris, France. The forum, being the largest impact investing conference of the year, aims to advance and scale impact investing market through insights from industry leaders, leading-edge research, and unrivalled networking opportunities.
The GIIN expects over 1000 attendees, 150 speakers from across 60 countries will attend the forum. This year’s practitioner-focused agenda features four streams covering six core themes, deals with the full spectrum of impact assets and strategies to provide participants with invaluable insights to delve deeper into the industry’s most pressing issues. The founder of Shanzhai City, Dr. Tat Lam, is invited by the GIIN to participate in a streamed session titled “How blockchains and crypto could change impact investing” on the GIIN Investor Forum Day 2. Dr Shaun Conway, the founder and president of the ixo Foundation, a non-profit open-source software development foundation building the ixo Blockchain for Impact, will chair the session, while Dr. Lam, Simon Granger, Christo Thekkel and Telly Onu will be the panelists.
