The aim is to create better services and new business, plus to open up contacts for international markets. Forum Virium Helsinki Ltd is owned by the City of Helsinki. Alongside of the Forum Virium Helsinki Ltd Board of Directors, Forum Virium Helsinki is led by its Board of Directors and Steering Group. Founded in 2006, Forum Virium Helsinki’s members are The City of Helsinki, Elisa, Finnvera, IBM, Nokia, Siemens, Sitra - the Finnish Innovation Fund, Sponda, SOK, Tekes - the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation, TeliaSonera, TIEKE, Tieto, VTT - the Technical Research Centre and YLE - the Finnish Broadcasting Company. Furthermore, a large number of other cooperation partners take part in the development projects. Forum Virium Helsinki’s office staff is responsible for managing and coordinating projects, communications and organising seminars and events. The office is located in the Helsinki city center.
