He quickly developed STC's first comprehensive IT Strategy, centered on a clear vision of using technology to help make “all of us part of one virtual village.” This strategy focused on “wiring the organization,” first connecting field offices to the information they need to get their work done; and second, connecting donors with their information and that of the field office programs. In 2009, the NTEN organization, in collaboration with a division of John Wiley & Sons, published Managing Technology to Meet Your Mission, for which Mr. Happ wrote the final chapter on the future of IT for nonprofits. As Charlie MacCormack, CEO has said, “We have been the team that has brought technology into the 21st century at Save the Children.”
