GED Testing Service
Helping millions of US adults achieve a better future
GED Testing Service logo
More than 19 million Americans have earned a high school equivalency credential through the GED® Testing Service (GEDTS). Today, GEDTS offers the only learner-centric high school equivalency program that gives adults a second chance to better their futures by going to college or getting a better job.
GED Testing Service is a joint venture between the American Council on Education (ACE) and Pearson VUE. The new organization launched in 2011 to provide students with a revolutionary start-to-finish high school equivalency program.
More than just a test
In January, 2014, GEDTS released an updated GED® test aligned to leading college-and-career readiness standards and continues to launch innovative tools to help students and administrators.
MyGED™ at GED.com, where students can study, schedule and check scores on-the-go
GED Ready™ practice test, the only practice test that predicts readiness for the real test
GED Analytics™ tracks performance, creates reports in real-time
GED Credentialing™ validates and fulfils diploma requests for GED® credential holders
As it was in 1942 when the first credential was awarded, the GED® program continues to provide assurance that the credential holder has the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in college or today’s workforce.
