Notes BE A GAME CHANGER Student success has changed in the 21st Century. Expectations are higher, competition is greater and, for many, barriers are bigger. Poverty, the most common characteristic associated with lack of achievement, is increasing. Children who live in families who are poor or low income are more likely to experience challenges that make learning difficult. They enter kindergarten less prepared than other children, have fewer ongoing learning opportunities and are less likely to graduate from high school or enter college Student success is a community issue. It touches every race, economic class, religion and culture. And this isn’t about pointing fingers. It’s about pointing toward solutions. Together with our partners, and by taking a hard look at the data, we’re supporting programs that create a new calculus of success. JOIN OUR MISSION Partner for Student Success was founded to engage, align and coordinate community resources to increase the opportunities for all youth to meet the challenges of young adulthood. We work to support every child in and out of the classroom, to help foster emotional, academic and life skills needed to succeed in life. We’re accomplishing this by aligning the best our community has to offer to bring out the best in each one of these kids.
