She was the Nuclear Threat Initiative’s vice president for biological programs from 2001 to 2005 and its senior scientist from 2005 to 2009. Hamburg was assistant secretary for policy evaluation at the US Department of Health and Human Services from 1997 to 2001 and commissioner of the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene from 1991 to 1997. |
