Worked with a team with startup urgency to meet the rapidly changing needs of a newly-enabled, non-traditional, complex, degree-granting institution while achieving performance, revenue growth and budget goals. Succeeded in a competitive landscape while serving the needs of a statewide federated community, supporting traditional and competency-based learning tracks in a wide range of subjects and specialties.
Led a team of 30+ professionals and additional student employees focused on our changing model of higher education. Committed to team building and maintaining the technology infrastructure to provide competency-based education, traditional online education, and emerging micro-credential-based learning.
Other elements of my role included:
• Support students, faculty and staff in a complex and autonomous multi-campus environment.
• Manage multiple seven-digit budgets in a cost-conscious, revenue-generating organization.
▬▬ SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS ▬▬
• Innovated to incorporate Salesforce to become the core of a new student engagement system (SES), a comprehensive set of tools to enable students in the UW Flexible Option, a series of competency-based education (CBE) degrees. Seven-digit-budgeted project incorporated Agile methodologies and launched use case in 12/2016.
• Led Human-Centered Design effort in reimagining UW HELP to enable the student application process and support. Engaged IDEO to create a completely new concept featuring a mobile app as well as redesigned interface and process flows.
• Established and continuing to advance new extended transcript (eT) technology.
• Enabled awarding and administration of direct financial aid for the first time while also creating a platform to support student lifecycle for other UW campuses. See less
