Declara Builds Momentum

PALO ALTO, Calif., Jan. 28, 2015 Declara, which builds technology to simplify everyday learning, today has announced several key deals on three different continents that position the company to work with an even broader range of institutions and companies. Declara has secured contracts with the University of Pennsylvanias Graduate School of Education; Bécalos, an education program run through the Televisa Foundation of the Mexican multimedia company Televisa; Nanyang Technological University Singapore; and the Puerto Rico Department of Education.

Partnering with this group of prestigious clients will help us usher in what is shaping into an auspicious new year.
Among the deals struck:
University of Pennsylvania will use Declara as the delivery platform for virtual online teaching (VOLT) for the Graduate School of Educations online masters program the first of its kind in the U.S.
Bécalos, supported by the Televisa Foundation, will use Declara in Bécalos as its teacher practice innovation platform, particularly in STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics), with the top instructors across Mexico.
Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore the fastest-rising university among the worlds Top 50 and ranked No. 1 among the worlds best universities under 50 years old, according to Quacquarelli Symonds world university rankings will use Declara to deliver social learning within its innovative learning ecosystem, which includes curriculum jointly developed with students.
Puerto Rico Department of Education has secured licenses to connect secondary-level teachers on a single content-rich platform where teachers will develop professional learning communities, support each other in their professional endeavors, share best practices and success stories.
These deals come in advance of Declaras prosumer product launch in early 2015.
In the past 12 months, Declara has secured $25 million in Series A funding, expanded into Asia and the Caribbean, and continued to provide services for learning institutions, businesses, and governmental agencies in the United States and Latin America. Declaras clients include SNTE (Sindicato Nacional de Trabajadores de la Educación), Mexicos largest teachers union; and Education Services Australia, a national, not-for-profit company owned by Australian education ministers.
