OVERVIEW
American Institutes for Research is a leading research firm that seeks to produce improvements in education, health, and the workforce by generating evidence to inform public understanding and policymaking. The firm proposes to continue the analyses conducted for the "Study of Deeper Learning: Opportunities and Outcomes"; it will begin with a planning phase to determine how to update analyses of high school graduation rates and postsecondary outcomes, of the ways in which these outcomes are associated with the development of deeper learning competencies, and of factors that facilitate or challenge implementation and sustainability. This study supports the program’s goal to have evidence-based exemplars of deeper learning schools.
