• Established CRS’ first physical presence in Iraq and opened two country offices.
• Managed a $10 million initiative funded jointly by USAID and CRS. Directly oversaw technical and financial management to meet or exceed all program targets and fully account for all resources in a highly complex, cash-only environment.
• Represented CRS to international donors, military coalition authorities, and humanitarian agencies. Managed institutional relationships with local partners, ensuring shared responsibility for and ownership of program outputs.
• Recruited and supervised 51 local and 3 international staff, as well as temporary personnel.
• Oversaw CRS/Iraq’s security system, including the development of security protocols, recruitment and management of security staff, participation in inter-agency security coordination meetings, and decision-making concerning evacuation, shelter-in-place, and other responses.
• Managed program close-out, liquidation, and shut-down of CRS operations in Iraq. See less |
