Notes Kevin Ashton is a visionary technologist. He coined the term "the Internet of Things," co-founded the Auto-ID Center at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and has led three successful tech start-ups, including Zensi, which he co-founded, led as CEO, and sold to Belkin in 2010. His book "How to Fly a Horse—the Secret History of Creation, Innovation, and Discovery," (Doubleday), was named 2015's Business Book of the Year by 800-CEO-READ. His writing about innovation and technology has also appeared in the New York Times, The Atlantic, Politico, and Quartz. He lives in Austin, Texas, where is currently working on his second book. He also gives talks about the Internet of Things, digital transformation, the future, and innovation all over the world.
