THE APPROACH
Robin Hood, the Overdeck Family Foundation, and Siegel Family Endowment established the Learning + Technology Fund to partner with innovative educators and organizations to uncover powerful learning opportunities with technology.
To this end, the Fund focuses on bringing to life two promising strategies:
INTEGRATED COMPUTATIONAL THINKING
Fusing computing education and computational thinking into the elementary curriculum to develop higher-order thinking skills and improve academic proficiency
BLENDED LITERACY
Combining the advantages of a personalized and blended approach with content-rich literacy instruction to boost literacy achievement
Over the coming five years, our goal is to build the research base and inform, inspire, and catalyze other schools to take up the promising practices we discover.
STRATEGY 1:
INTEGRATED COMPUTATIONAL THINKING
STRATEGY 2:
BLENDED LITERACY
