The Greater Educational Opportunities Foundation, an Indianapolis nonprofit, signed Bill Smith, Vice President Mike Pence’s former chief of staff, as a lobbyist. Smith, who runs the lobbying firm Sextons Creek, will lobby on the funding and regulation of charter schools. It’s the seventh client Smith has signed since he started lobbying at the federal level after the election. Disclosure filings show that Smith lobbied Pence’s office exclusively in the first quarter on behalf of clients including AT&T, Microsoft and Verizon. |
