OVERVIEW
The Fund for Shared Insight is a funder collaborative focused on increasing foundation openness in service of greater effectiveness. This includes foundations sharing more openly about their work, as well as being more open to what others have to share with us, especially feedback from the people foundations ultimately seek to help with our funding. Shared Insight has eight core funders and 28 additional funders who collectively contribute between $6 and $8 million each year to a pooled fund at Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors. To date, the fund has made 77 grants to 70 organizations totaling $13.8 million and is committed to rigorous measurement and sharing what it learns.
