Goods Both the attorney general’s office and Campaign Finance Board also looked into coordination between the animal rights nonprofit NYCLASS, which has sought to ban horse carriages in Central Park, and the Advance Group. The Advance Group represented a number of City Council candidates in 2013, while NYCLASS simultaneously operated out of Advance’s office and supported some of those same candidates. The CFB ended up fining Advance a total of $15,000.
