Mr. Palen was elected to serve as the non-executive Chairman of our Board of Directors in May 2002 and has been Chairman of Spectro Alloys, an aluminum manufacturing company, since 1989 and Chief Executive Officer of Palen/Kimball Company, a heating and air conditioning company, since 1983. He is a director of Valspar Corporation, a painting and coating manufacturing company. Mr. Palen also serves as a director of various private and non-profit organizations.
