William Block

William Block, CEO and Chairman of W.A.B. Capital, approaches his position with more than 30 years of experience in the world of micro-cap investment. He launched the boutique investment research firm in Pacific Palisades, California, in 1997, and has been helping small companies achieve financial success ever since. To this effect, William Block introduces companies to investors, drawing on years of relationship-building to set up meetings with portfolio managers in San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, and Boston. Prior to bringing companies on the road, W.A.B. Capital thoroughly investigates and researches all aspects of its operations, producing a detailed report with information on finances, business, and the company’s products or services. Once the report has been prepared, William Block and his colleagues bring the company on the road to meet with managers. In light of his established and trusting relationship with the investors, his credibility affords him and his endorsed companies the time and attention they need to begin selling stock. Once portfolio managers commence buying stock, they notify their peers, who also take financial interest in the new company. William Block has worked with companies that have experienced significant growth as a result, such as Central European Distribution Corp., a distributor in Warsaw, Poland, that grew from $50 million to $1 billion since its involvement with W.A.B. Capital. Prior to launching the investment research firm, William Block attended the University of Southern California. He first earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and returned to achieve his Master of Business Administration in Finance. He continues to stay active at his alma mater by serving as a mentor for business students. Interested in politics, William Block is a member of the Pacific Palisades Republican Club.
