Oscar Lopez is chairman emeritus of Lopez Holdings with interests in power, distribution, telecom, infrastructure and property development. The bulk of his wealth is held in ABS-CBN, which was founded in 1946 as a broadcaster but has since evolved into a media and entertainment company. Oscar's son Frederico is the group's chairman and chief executive officer. Mr. Lopez has a master‘s degree in public administration from the Littauer School of Public Administration in Harvard University (1955), where he also earned his bachelor of arts degree, cum laude (1951).
