Distinguished Lecturer at the Carroll Graduate School of Management of Boston College. He is also Chairman of the Board of the Independent System Operator, New England (which is responsible for coordinating the New England electric power grid and administrating the N.E. region's wholesale electric markets) and Chair of the Audit Committee of Boston Mutual Life Insurance Company. He previously served as Lead Director and Audit Committee Chair of Eaton Vance Corp. and as a Director of Teradyne, Inc. Mr. O'Reilly was Chairman and is presently a Vice-Chairman of the Board of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. He is a Trustee and Treasurer of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and a director of Gilbane, Inc. He was awarded the Trustee Leadership Award by New England Health Care Assembly. Previously he was a partner at Coopers & Lybrand LLP from 1969 until his retirement in 1997. Mr. O'Reilly has held a number of management positions at Coopers & Lybrand including Deputy Chairman, Chief Operating Officer and Chairman of its International Accounting and Auditing Policy and Strategy Committee. He also chaired its Ethical Practices Committee and served on the Firm's Executive Committee from 1985 to 1997. Mr. O'Reilly was a member of the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council of the Financial Accounting Standards Board and a founding member of the Accounting Educational Change Commission. He is the editor of Montgomery's Auditing and author of Internal Control-Integrated Framework. He is a recipient of the McCloy award from the Public Oversight Board of the AICPA for contributions to the auditing profession. Mr. O'Reilly is a graduate of Boston College and received an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
