John Codey joined Uris Buildings Corporation in 1969. During his 18 years at Uris, he participated in the development and leasing of over 10 million square feet. In 1988, he formed his own international real estate consulting firm. Beginning in 1997, John served as real estate adviser to Helmsley Enterprises, Inc. in the successful disposition of over $3.5 billion of commercial and residential properties. After the sale of the Helmsley assets, John continued to advise Helmsley Enterprises, Inc. as executive vice president. He remained a close friend and senior adviser to Mrs. Helmsley until her death in 2007. John received his B.S. from the University of Louisville and is a board member of the Salk International Council.
