Mr. Morse has been a Bankrate director since 1993, and served as our Chief Executive Officer from 1993 until 1997. Mr. Morse served as our Chairman from 1997 until 1999, and since 2002. Mr. Morse founded Morse Partners, Inc., a private equity firm that acquires operating companies and provides capital expansion capital in 1982. He is also a general partner of Permit Capital LLC. From 1986 to 1990, Mr. Morse was Chairman of FAO Schwartz, the national chain of children gift stores. Mr. Morse is a member of the Board of Governors of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America and the Board of Trustees for the J.M. Foundation. Mr. Morse is a Trustee Emeritus of Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where he served as a trustee from 1982 to 2010 and was Chairman of the Investment Committee of Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia from 1987 to 2010. Mr. Morse served as a member of the Board of Directors of Georgetown University from 2004 to 2010. Mr. Morse holds a B.S.B.A. from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. from Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
