Jason Levitis

Jason Levitis was a Senior Policy Analyst on the Center’s Federal Fiscal Policy team, and a Policy Analyst/Counsel to the State Fiscal Project from 2005 to 2009. His work focused on federal tax policy, including the taxation of low-income families, the long-term adequacy of revenue streams, and the interaction between federal and state tax law. Levitis provided technical assistance to policymakers and advocates. He spoke about tax and budget policy to audiences nationwide, was featured in broadcast media, and was quoted in newspapers across the country. Prior to joining the Center, Levitis worked on tax and budget policy at Connecticut Voices for Children. He is also a former Senior Analyst in the health economics department at the Greater New York Hospital Association. He holds a B.A. in mathematics from Wesleyan University and a J.D. from Yale University.
