Patrick Durkin is a Managing Director of Atlas, having joined in January 2015, and is based in New York. As Head of External Relations, Mr. Durkin’s responsibilities include investor and corporate relations, government and regulatory strategies, and communications. Previously, Mr. Durkin was a Managing Director at Barclays responsible for Government Relations and Public Policy starting in 2009. Prior to Barclays, Mr. Durkin was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse in the Alternative Asset Management Group responsible for funds development and capital raising. In 2001, Credit Suisse acquired Donaldson Lufkin and Jenrette (DLJ), where Mr. Durkin was a Managing Director and led the development of its International and Emerging Markets Banking business beginning in 1994. In government, Mr. Durkin served in the U.S. Treasury Department during the Reagan and Bush Administrations and in the U.S. Congress as a Legislative and Communications Director. Mr. Durkin also served on the Executive Staff of the President’s Commission on Market Reform (Brady Commission), on the SEC Competitive Markets Task Force, and on the board of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC). Mr. Durkin is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross of Greater New York and the College for Every Student, and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Mr. Durkin received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Middlebury College and an MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business. Patrick Durkin is a Managing Director of J Fitzgibbons LLC, based in New York. Until 2008, he was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse in the Alternative Capital Division. Mr. Durkin joined Credit Suisse in 2001 through the acquisition of Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette (DLJ) where he was a Managing Director and Head of the International Banking Group in New York.
