Barbara Ohno is a member of Torrance’s Measure SST Citizens' Oversight Committee and serves on the Torrance Commission on Aging. She previously worked as a municipal accountant and budget manager in the City of Inglewood. In 2015, Ohno filed a federal whistleblower lawsuit alleging she was terminated for reporting financial and accounting irregularities related to the city’s finances during its pursuit of an NFL team; the city denied the allegations, and the case was later settled.
