James Han

James Han is a senior pastor and Torrance school board member with deep ties to local education, youth sports, and faith-based community service.

James Han is the Senior Pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Los Angeles and Lomita, which he founded in 2002, and an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). He holds a B.A. from UC Irvine and a Master of Divinity from Westminster Seminary California. Elected to the Torrance Unified School District Board of Education in 2018, Han has been actively involved in local schools through coaching youth sports, serving on the John Adams Elementary School Site Council, and helping establish the Adams Educational Alliance, which has raised funds for Torrance schools since 2010. A longtime Torrance resident, he lives with his wife and three children, all of whom attend TUSD schools.
