As one of the most respected ethnic Chinese venture capitalists in the Silicon Valley, Kevin has a track record of working with Chinese entrepreneurs. He was with Mayfield Fund from 1988 to 2008, and has a broad and deep investment focus in the communications, wireless, semiconductor, software, and consumer media sectors. Prior to joining Mayfield, Kevin was an operating executive at David Systems, a networking company, Hewlett Packard and Nortel/Bell Northern Research. Kevin earned an M.B.A. and M.S. in electrical engineering from Stanford University and a B.S. in electrical engineering from U.C. Berkeley. He is an advisor to the Asian Venture Capital Journal, and a board member to Hua Yuan Science and Technology Association. He is a frequent speaker on Asian market trends including recent appearances at the AVCJ annual conference, Dow Jones Asia Ventures and the HYSTA annual dinner.
