Lewis Sanders, 80, spent 32 years at investment firm Sanford C. Bernstein & Co., culminating as CEO and chairman of the firm, renamed AllianceBernstein after it merged with Alliance Capital, according to the Sanders Capital website. He remained in that role until 2008, after which he founded and managed the Sanders family office.
