Jason Beckman

Mr. Beckman co-founded Colbeck as a Managing Partner in 2009. Mr. Beckman is the senior investment sourcing partner at Colbeck. In that capacity, Mr. Beckman oversees every aspects of loan sourcing and investment origination and is directly involved in investment execution. Mr. Beckman also manages Colbeck’s relationships with co-investors and the broader capital markets. Prior to Colbeck, Mr. Beckman was a Senior Vice President in the Distressed Debt Group at Deutsche Bank. Prior to Deutsche Bank, Mr. Beckman worked at Goldman Sachs as the Head of Distressed Product (Bank Loan) Sourcing where he built and managed a team of ten responsible for sourcing Strategic Lending opportunities. Mr. Beckman’s sourcing group also had responsibility for acquisitions of loan workouts, both with respect to single asset and portfolio divestitures. During his time at Union College he founded CollegetownUSA.com an online education resource for students around the United States. CollegetownUSA, which was renamed iCollege.com was subsequently acquired by Blackboard and later went public. Mr. Beckman’s philanthropic endeavors include animal rescue, an artists in residence program, and helping to support and develop artists in multiple disciplines.
