Salvatore Testa

The 28-year-old son of the crime boss Philip Testa, now dead, Salvatore Testa had been thought to be one of Nicodemo Scarfo's closest friends and welcomed him back in 1984 after his release from prison on a manslaughter conviction. Prosecutors said Mr. Scarfo feared Salvatore Testa was rising too fast. Mr. Scarfo, who is known as ''Little Nicky,'' was charged with the murder of Salvatore Testa, whose bound body was found wrapped in a blanket in southern New Jersey on Sept. 14, 1984.
