Aaron Zebley has more than 15 years of public sector experience at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Department of Justice, and the US Attorney's Office. Mr. Zebley served as Chief of Staff to the former Director of the FBI, Robert S. Mueller III, and to the current Director, James B. Comey. He most recently was Senior Counselor in the National Security Division at the Department of Justice. Before his tour in the Director's Office, Mr. Zebley served as an Assistant US Attorney (AUSA) in the National Security and Terrorism Unit in Alexandria, Virginia. During his tenure as an AUSA, he investigated and prosecuted crimes related to national security, terrorism and violent crime. Prior to joining the US Attorney's Office, Mr. Zebley was a Special Agent of the FBI in the Counterterrorism Division. Mr. Zebley focuses his practice on cybersecurity and data breach issues, internal investigations, national security matters, and defending clients who are the subject of government investigation. Mr. Zebley has experience conducting complex national and international investigations and advising the nation's leading officials on public responses to a range of sensitive issues.
